murals
Environmental education through public art!
We work with local and national artists to create murals in collaboration with local environmental educators.
During the 2024 Pleasant Peninsula event, artists created murals along the Grand River in Canal Park. You can view and read about these works on our public art page.
speaker series
Learn something new from a local educator!
During our main Pleasant Peninsula event, we host a speaker series consisting of poets, artists, musicians, and environmental educators, who share what they admire most about Michigan’s incredible ecosystems. You’ll learn all about Michigan’s majestic dunes, stunning wildflowers, towering trees, breathtaking great lakes, and all the incredible creatures that call this place home.
We are working on recording the upcoming series to make it available here. In the meantime, explore the list of 2024 talks to get a sense for the type of content we're platforming.
If you have knowledge you would like to share at one of our events, please get involved!
